As Acting Director for the Energy Directorate at Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Les Martin offers a unique perspective energy management, generation, distribution, and storage across Air Force installations. As Les departs from AFCEC and heads on to his next assignment, he leaves some parting words of wisdom. We thank Les for his leadership and dedication to the Air Force.

Day 1: Session 3: Utility Partnerships for Energy Assurance

Military installations across the country are transitioning their utility systems and moving to implement Utility Privatization (UP). This structure offers many benefits to the installation. This session brings together Energy Service Companies and Utility Partners for a discussion around the benefits of UP with a variety of case studies.

Mr. Brian Stahl serves as the Deputy Base Civil Engineer for the 25th Civil Engineer Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base. Check out this session and hear a first-hand account and status update on various reconstruction efforts and mission priorities at Tyndall AFB.

At the direction of the Secretary of the Air Force, General Melançon is leading a team to program and prepare to execute nearly $3 billion in funding to construct a digitally connected, 21st century Air Force base capable of supporting up to three squadrons of F-35s and one squadron of MQ-9s. This session offers a timely discussion around current mission priorities at Tyndall AFB followed by a Q&A session.
