Day 1: Session 5: Energy Management Case Studies

Energy fuels the mission and how we manage energy is more important than ever. The panel brings together experts from the Air Force, Veteran’s Administration, and Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) to highlight some recently completed projects and share some lessons learned and financing mechanisms to bring projects to fruition.

Day 1: Session 2: Finance & Contract Acquisition

Building the “Base of the Future” requires coordination between different federal agencies to discuss contract vehicles and funding requirements. The sessions offers an in-depth discussion around the financial tools and financing structures that the Air Force uses to ensure mission requirements.

Day 1: Keynote

At the direction of the Secretary of the Air Force, General Melançon is leading a team to program and prepare to execute nearly $3 billion in funding to construct a digitally connected, 21st century Air Force base capable of supporting up to three squadrons of F-35s and one squadron of MQ-9s. This session offers a timely discussion around current mission priorities at Tyndall AFB followed by a Q&A session.

Day 2: Welcome Message

As Acting Director for the Energy Directorate at Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Les Martin offers a unique perspective energy management, generation, distribution, and storage across Air Force installations. As Les departs from AFCEC and heads on to his next assignment, he leaves some parting words of wisdom. We thank Les for his leadership and dedication to the Air Force.
